Here are some tips on assembling:
To start I glue the three sections of the staff together and glue the blades. These are very strait forward, but sometimes don’t meet up 100% flush. If they don’t you can always add some Bondo, epoxy, super glue, wood putty, drywall putty… to close the gap. I used super glue to glue together and some drywall putty for the gap. This model has some other parts that get attached to the blades. Once the main blade is glued you can add the mega blades and the nuts.
The axe head is the similar, I assemble the left and right just by gluing the posts in the holes. Once dried, I glue the left and right side together and clamp the base and the back for a firm hold.
The canister has 2 arms that need to be glued.
Now that the staff, the head and blade are assembled we can move to painting. Paint as you see fit. I have videos describing in detail how to assemble and paint below. Paint the assembled staff, head, blade and dynamite pieces separate. Once painted the final assembly can happen.
Finish with some coats of polyurethane and if you want to do a wash now would be the time. After the wash do another coat or two of poly.
Here is a video on how to assemble and how I painted the axe.
