Historically accurate men’s woolen hood or chaperone for reenactors in the medieval style, 13th – 15th century.
Made to order.
Chaperon is a hat with a complex drape, which has the appearance of a hood with a long tail. The cape is lowered on the shoulder. Made of dense woolen fabric.
We offer two types of sewing the hood:
1. 50/50 (industrial / manual) i.e. all stitches are sewn on the sewing machine. Fabric edges are processed manually.
2. Completely manual i.e. the item is sewn manually. The only type used in the Middle Ages.
Materials used:
-fabric top – 100% wool
-threads – 100% linen
Item care:
1. Turn wool clothes inside-out.
2.Hand washing is recommended. In case the washing machine is used, wash on the delicate cycle (or wool cycle or hand wash cycle, if your washer features these settings). Use cold water and a mild liquid detergent meant for wool. Add an extra rinse to the wash cycle.
3. To avoid shrinking, don’t put wool clothing in the dryer. Instead, lay flat to dry the item.
