Nidavellnir is pleased to present a comfortable and well made historical interpretation of the Coppergate Cap found in historic York, UK. During excavations in the city centre between 1976-81.
This item is based on archaeological textile remains, the original being made from silk. These ones are made from pure Linen.
All internal seams are sewn by machine, all visible stitches are hand sewn, the ties are British cheviot wool.
For best fit, head size 24″.
The cap hangs down 8″ to cover the side of the face.
This cap will fit a smaller head size and a larger, just be aware that the waythe cap sits, will vary.
