Here we have a Roman/Romano British shield type plate brooch
hand cast in bronze Dating from around the second Century onwards .
The brooch is my representation of several of this type found around the United Kingdom
recorded on the P.A.S. database reference BERK-51FFF1 for one example,
the body is cast bronze with the open cells filled withresin to replicate
what would have been coloured enamel,which is thenflattened and polished.
this brooch will make a nice addition toperiod costume or wear it any which way you like
the choice is yours.
Dimensions are approximately 3cm long by 1.3cm wide by 0.3cm deep not including the spring catch
weight approximately 10 grams,
each brooch is finished by hand with care and attention to detail making each one unique.
